I wanted to get in a nice post before I head home for the holidays.
First, check out a tasty jam courtesy of Old Bear Mountain:
Then, if you didn't see this video in my last post, here's a link so that you can definitely go watch it (I don't want you to feel like you've missed out).
After that, here are some tweets that are hilarious and there's no reason why I shouldn't have my own version of Tweets of the Week with only people that I like, and that make me miss college:
Teacher bar crawl tomorrow night. If you guys want to see us accidentally only talk about being teachers, come watch.

What if at the end of every day of finals a canon went off and the faces of kids that have to drop out showed in the sky?

I was standing under mistletoe in Beta and Mom Gallon purposely stood next to me... I kissed her, I don't remember much after that

Also, I updated my travel map. I've been to Oman, now!
Finally, what you really care about........ a picture of a wolf:
|That is a fine beast.|
As for my life in the Middle East -- I'm living it.
Couple of fun things I've been up to:
I went looking for wadi's with some friends in Oman. Oman is only about a 45 minute drive from Dubai, and it's where the landscape starts switching from being camelful (adj. - being full of camels... just made it up) desert, to rugged mountain terrain. Oman is beautiful. We drove around, climbed some mountains (I fell down a mountain, obviously, because what's a fun afternoon with Wade if he's not bleeding?), and searched for these awesome pools where rain water collects. The water is cold and refreshing and crystal clear. Made for a pretty fun day!
Side note: A man at a gas station in Oman tried to sell us a glass coke bottle full of "Authentic Omani honey" that he pulled out of his pants.
I think my previous sentence is so weird that I don't even feel like I need to come up with a joke in this sentence to keep you entertained. Like, there is enough humor in the Omani-Pant-Honey story to carry you through the rest of this post. I don't even know why I'm still writing.
Anyway, I've been getting some golf in! The courses are pretty interesting, because there are sand bunkers (just like any golf course), but if you miss the fairway by enough (and if you've seen me golf...), you can actually land in desert sand. Just areas that they didn't plant grass. I'm playing a new course in Abu Dhabi this weekend, and will also be seeing part 2 of 'The Hobbit.' I can't wait! It's going to be a grrrrreat birthday weekend!

I'll be home in 10 days. December 20th through January 1st. You might have to tweet or Facebook at me because I don't know if I'll be using my phone in the US--but let me know if you want to snake up some grub or a cold cruiser (0:49 in the video below) when I'm back!
I'll have another post up soon that is the family Christmas letter. Other than that, see you soon, America!
